Dog on a mission

I am a Jack Russell Terrier, Apollo and I am a whopping 14years old. Such an old soul, but young at heart. Actually quite an explorer when it comes to a new adventure.

According to my dad, if I was a human I would actually be a human with OCD with no end in sight. At the same time I would have been super ambitious human about everything and if FOMO had a face it would be Apollo.

I know traits of Jack Russells have been mentioned before, but maybe what you don't know abut us is there is 3 types of Russell terrier breeds: Jack Russell terrier, Parson Russell terrier, and Russell terrier, despite sharing a common ancestry. The Jack Russell Terrier is smaller than the Parson but larger than the Russell Terrier. We were mainly bred to hunt foxes and needed to be ferociously fierce and confident. Our job was to drive the prey out of its burrow for the hunters to catch. As a result, we are known to be lean and small but packed with courage. So dynamite in a small package.

I am a little mall operator according to my dad, I always have a plan and am quite always on a mission.  I have this amazing ability to train people to dance to his music and as soon as I achieve this I have a bounce to my step and a rattling tail. This is my small victory dance, knowing that this human will do anything for me by then.

My dad got me when he was just 10 years old. After he saw the movie Skip he was hooked on getting a Jack Russel companion. The main reason why he wanted a Jack Russel, because of our energetic trademark and being little explorers. And after the movie, he thought it was an awesome idea to get a companion that is known to get some serious air. We are always up for going somewhere and it is a known fact that we are the best companion to travel with.
Coming back to my dad and I, we have walked through life in countless adventures and will remain doing so. He surely is my best friend.
